Methodology. Oldroyd, McElheran & Elkington, "The Short Life of Online Sales Leads", Harvard Business Review, March 2011 (building on the 2007 Kellogg School / InsideSales.com study of ~15,000 leads): responding within 5 minutes made firms about 21 times more likely to qualify a lead than responding after 30 minutes. Between 5 and 30 minutes we interpolate log-linearly, since the study reports only those two points; beyond 30 minutes we hold the multiplier flat at the published 30-minute figure rather than guess further decay. Treat the number below as directional, the same way we ask you to treat every figure on this site.
