Is there a ManyChat alternative for Indian businesses?
Kooday vs. ManyChat — an alternative for Indian businesses
ManyChat bills by active contact, not by message or platform fee — what that means for an Indian business, when ManyChat is genuinely cheaper, and when it isn't.
ManyChat is an Instagram, Messenger, TikTok and Telegram automation platform, billed by active contact per month rather than by message or a flat platform fee. Kooday is an AI receptionist that answers phone calls, WhatsApp and website chat for Indian service businesses. Before any price comparison makes sense, the units have to be named — they are not the same thing.

Prices exclude tax and the page states they vary by billing country. The Free plan carries ManyChat branding; every paid tier removes it.
The unit is different, and it’s the single most important fact on this page. ManyChat charges per active contact per month — a person, not a message. Kooday and the Indian WhatsApp platforms charge a platform fee plus a per-message rate. A business with 400 Instagram DMs a month from 300 distinct people pays ManyChat for 300 contacts, however many times each of them messaged. The same volume on a message-billed platform is priced on the 400. Which is cheaper depends entirely on the ratio of messages to people — there is no single “who’s cheaper” answer here.
Kooday’s current prices are published in full on the pricing page, not restated here so what you read there stays current.

Where ManyChat wins
For an Instagram-led business with many messages to relatively few people, ManyChat can genuinely cost less. A creator or brand doing high-frequency DM automation with a small, loyal audience is exactly the shape ManyChat’s per-contact model rewards. If that’s your business, run the numbers on your own contact count before assuming a message-billed platform is cheaper — it may not be.
Broader social reach. ManyChat covers Instagram, TikTok, Messenger and Telegram natively. Kooday’s channels are WhatsApp, voice and website chat — no Instagram or TikTok automation.
Which one fits
Choose Kooday if phone calls and WhatsApp are where your customers actually reach you, and you want one assistant that also answers your website — including calls in Indian languages, billed by usage rather than by how many distinct people message you. Choose ManyChat if Instagram DMs are your primary channel and your audience is small relative to how often they message.
