What's a good alternative to Wati?
Kooday vs. Wati — an alternative for WhatsApp business messaging
Wati's three plans, what they include, and where Kooday is and isn't a fit instead — feature table, dated pricing, and the rows Wati wins.
Wati is a WhatsApp Business Platform provider: broadcasts, automation triggers, a visual chatbot builder, and CRM integrations, billed per plan with extra seats charged separately. Kooday is an AI receptionist that answers WhatsApp, voice calls and website chat with one assistant. They overlap on WhatsApp messaging and diverge everywhere else — this page is about that overlap and where it ends.
Wati’s pricing, as read from wati.io on 8 September 2026
| Plan | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Users | What’s included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | ₹2,499 | ₹1,999 | 3, no additional users | 15k broadcasts/mo, 1,000 free automation triggers, 2 commerce/CRM integrations, 10k API calls (no webhooks), 250 AI co-pilot credits |
| Pro | ₹4,999 | ₹3,999 | 5 included, extra at $24/user/mo | Unlimited broadcasts at standard rates, 2,000 triggers, 5 integrations incl. HubSpot, 200k API calls, 500 AI credits |
| Business | ₹9,999 | ₹7,999 | 5 included, extra at $69/user/mo | Unlimited broadcasts with volume discounts, 5,000 triggers, unlimited integrations incl. Salesforce, 20M API calls, 1,500 AI credits |
Also published: a pay-as-you-go Single User Plan at ₹999 one-time, carrying ₹999 of message credit. Add-ons — Shopify integration, extra WhatsApp numbers, AI co-pilot credits, extra automation triggers — are priced separately.
Wati does not publish per-message rates on this page. It states only that charges “vary for marketing, utility & authentication” and points to a separate rate card we have not read. If you need that number, ask Wati directly — we won’t guess at it here.
Kooday’s current prices are published in full on the pricing page, kept in one place rather than restated here so what you read there is always current. The entry tier is roughly an order of magnitude below Wati’s Growth plan, because it carries no bundled usage risk to price against — see the pricing FAQ for how that works.
What each platform actually does
| Wati | Kooday | |
|---|---|---|
| Channels | WhatsApp only | WhatsApp, voice (phone + website), website chat |
| Visual chatbot builder | Yes, on every plan | No — see below |
| AI voice, phone or website | Not offered | Included from the entry tier |
| Indian-language voice | Not offered | Included |
| Integrations | Up to 5 (Pro), unlimited incl. Salesforce (Business) | n8n, Zapier, Make, webhooks |
| Additional seats | 3–5 included, then $24–69/user/mo | Unlimited team members, no per-seat fee |
Where Wati wins
The visual chatbot builder, on every plan. Kooday does not have one and will not: if you want to draw your own conversation flows visually, Wati (or AiSensy, or Interakt) does that and Kooday doesn’t.
Ecosystem maturity for a team already standardised elsewhere. Wati’s Business tier lists unlimited integrations including Salesforce. Kooday’s integration surface — n8n, Zapier, Make, webhooks — covers most workflows but is not a native Salesforce connector.
Which one fits
Choose Kooday if you want one assistant across every channel a customer uses — phone, WhatsApp and your website — including calls answered in Indian languages, and you don’t need to build your own bot flows by hand. Choose Wati if WhatsApp is the only channel that matters and you want to design your own automation visually.
