What's a good alternative to Zoko?
Kooday vs. Zoko — a Shopify alternative
Zoko's plans, conversation and AI charges, Shopify strengths, and when Kooday is the better fit for calls and enquiries across channels.
Zoko is a WhatsApp commerce platform built for Shopify stores: broadcasts, catalogue sales, a shared team inbox, ecommerce flows and optional AI agents. Kooday is an AI receptionist that answers calls and enquiries across WhatsApp, website chat, Instagram and Messenger. Both can sell through conversation, but they are built around different starting points.

The conversation charges above are Zoko’s own platform charges. Its pricing page lists WhatsApp charges separately at Meta’s rate card. Instagram costs $9.99/month; Facebook is free. Zoko says billing is prepaid and offers a seven-day free trial.
Zoko also publishes two separate add-on models:
- Premium flows: $5.99/month per flow. Eleven essential ecommerce flows are included free on every plan; usage above 500,000 steps a month costs $0.0002 per step.
- AI agents: $24.99/month per AI agent. The Guru FAQ agent and Wismo order tracking agent each cost $0.09 per resolution after the first 100; the Sello sales agent costs 3% of order value after the first 100 orders.
Kooday’s current prices are published in full on the pricing page, not restated here so what you read there stays current.

Where Zoko wins
Shopify-native commerce is Zoko’s centre of gravity. It pulls a Shopify catalogue into WhatsApp, supports in-chat ordering, and includes ready-made flows for abandoned checkouts, COD confirmation, reviews and order updates. For a Shopify merchant whose main job is turning WhatsApp campaigns into store orders, that is a more specialised fit than Kooday.
A WhatsApp team that wants many human agents has a clear option. Zoko’s Starter plan publishes unlimited agents, while its higher plans bundle five to thirty before charging per extra agent. Kooday has human takeover, but it is designed around an assistant handling the front line rather than a Shopify support team working primarily from a shared WhatsApp inbox.
Which one fits
Choose Kooday if the problem starts with unanswered calls and enquiries spread across phone, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger and your website, and you want one assistant using the same knowledge on every channel — including voice in Indian languages. Choose Zoko if you run a Shopify store and want WhatsApp broadcasts, catalogue selling, ecommerce flows and a multi-agent inbox built around that store.
