Instagram and Messenger, on the same assistant
If your customers find you on Instagram, the DM is often the first conversation. It runs on the same assistant as every other channel — not a separately configured bot that answers slightly differently.
What it does
- Answers Instagram DMs and Facebook Messenger conversations in your business’s voice.
- Runs on the same brain, knowledge and language handling as your phone and WhatsApp.
- Provisions in one popup alongside WhatsApp rather than a separate setup per channel.
- Ties conversations to the same customer record, so a person who DMs and later calls is one history.
How it works
- Meta Embedded Signup provisions WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger together and links them to your assistant.
- Each channel has its own connector ownership, so the right business gets the right messages.
- Every channel has two switches — one we grant, one you control — and both must be on, so you can turn a channel off instantly.
Where it stops
Every product page in this market lists capabilities. This is the other half — the things it does not do, so you find out here rather than in month two.
- Inbound media on Instagram and Messenger is acknowledged but not processed. A customer who sends a photo will get a reply, but the assistant cannot see the image.
- Nothing Meta-side has been proven on a live tenant for every channel yet — ask us where we are before you plan around it.
Common questions
Is this a separate bot from my WhatsApp one?
No. One assistant serves every channel, which is the point — four separately configured bots is how customers end up getting four different answers.
What about comment-to-DM automation?
Not something we do today. If that is the core of what you need, we are not the right fit yet.
