The 11pm enquiry gets an answer at 11pm
Enquiries arrive at 11pm and expect a reply by morning. The assistant answers immediately, in the language the customer wrote in, and keeps the conversation inside the window where you are still allowed to reply freely.
- Replies instantly, any hour
- Voice notes both ways
- Take over mid-thread
Your WhatsApp, answered
- Replies to WhatsApp messages immediately, at any hour.
- Handles voice notes in both directions — an inbound note is transcribed and answered, and replies can be sent back as a voice note if you prefer.
- Fires typing indicators and read receipts, so the thread behaves the way customers expect.
- Never double-answers a duplicate delivery from Meta, and never double-bills one.
- Lets you take over the conversation yourself and type as your business.
- Attaches every WhatsApp thread to the customer record a phone call from that number uses, so a person who messages and later phones from the same number is one customer with one history.
- Can open or advance a deal on your sales pipeline the moment a WhatsApp conversation ends in an outcome you have mapped to a column.
Set up once, then it runs
- Your WhatsApp Business number connects through Meta’s Cloud API — one popup provisions WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger together.
- If the number already has history from the WhatsApp app, that history is brought across so the assistant is not starting blind.
- Messages route to the assistant that owns that number, which answers from your knowledge base.
- Out of Meta’s 24-hour window, a re-engagement template re-opens the conversation rather than silently failing.
- A channel switch you control, on top of the one we grant, decides whether WhatsApp is live for that assistant — off is instant, from your own dashboard.

Ask on WhatsAppWhat the numbers actually say
WhatsApp is where an Indian customer already is, and the numbers back that up beyond our own product. Meta’s own 2026 survey of 11,056 consumers across 22 markets — “The State of Business Messaging” — found 73.3% prefer messaging a business over calling or emailing it, and three in four want to message a business the same casual way they message a friend. An assistant that is slow, or that answers WhatsApp differently from the phone, is fighting the channel a customer already chose rather than working with it.
The Indian WhatsApp-platform market is crowded, and it is worth being specific about where Kooday sits rather than gesturing at “cheaper” or “better”. Wati prices its entry Growth tier at 2,499 rupees a month (1,999 rupees annualised) for three users and 15,000 broadcasts; AiSensy does not publish a platform-tier fee at all on its pricing page, only per-message rates and named add-ons — a 2,500-rupee-a-month “Drag & drop chatbot builder” among them, the vendor’s own name for the product. Both numbers are real, both were read from the vendor’s own page on 2026-09-08, and neither is a fair one-line comparison against Kooday’s own entry price on the table below, because the products are not shaped the same way: Wati and AiSensy sell a WhatsApp automation platform you configure yourself; Kooday sells one assistant, written in plain language, that already answers your phone, your WhatsApp and your website.
That difference cuts both ways, and the honest version of this page says so. If what you actually want is to draw your own conversation flows, node by node, with a visual builder — Wati, AiSensy and Interakt all sell that, and we do not, on purpose (facts inventory §12.1; it is a permanent refusal, not a roadmap gap). If your team is already deep in an ecosystem of pre-built integrations, Wati’s top tier lists unlimited integrations including Salesforce, and our own integration surface is n8n, Zapier, Make and signed webhooks — a real gap for a buyer already standardised on something we do not have a named connector for.
What we think is genuinely different is narrower and more defensible than “we are the best WhatsApp tool”: one assistant, in eleven languages including mixed Malayalam/English speech, answering WhatsApp, the phone and the website from the same knowledge base — so a customer who asks a price on WhatsApp at 11pm and calls to confirm it the next morning gets the same answer both times, because it came from the same place both times.
Voice notes deserve their own mention, because they are how a meaningful share of WhatsApp conversations in India actually happen — typing is not always the easiest option, especially for a longer question. The assistant transcribes an inbound voice note and answers it exactly as it would a typed message, and can send its own reply back as a voice note when that fits the conversation better than text. That is a genuinely different design decision from a bot built around typed keywords or button menus, which tends to treat a voice note as an error state rather than an ordinary message.
WhatsApp business tools compared, entry tier
| Platform | Entry price | What it is | Voice or AI voice included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kooday (Starter) | ₹999/mo | One AI assistant, answers WhatsApp + phone + website from one brain | Yes — same assistant, every channel |
| Wati (Growth) | 2,499 rupees/mo (1,999 rupees annual) | WhatsApp automation platform, visual flow builder, 3 users | No |
| AiSensy | Not published (add-ons only) | WhatsApp automation platform + priced add-ons, e.g. 2,500-rupee/mo chatbot builder | No |
| Interakt (Growth) | $55/mo + taxes | WhatsApp + Instagram inbox, branching chatbot, unlimited agents | No |
Kooday’s row is resolved from the pricing registry at build time; the Wati and AiSensy rows are read from each vendor’s own pricing page on 2026-09-08 (docs/marketing/competitor-pricing-verified-2026-09.md). AiSensy publishes no platform-tier fee, so that cell is left as a stated gap rather than guessed.

The things this does not do
Every product page in this market lists capabilities. This is the other half. If one of these is a dealbreaker, we would much rather you found out on this page than in month two.
- Customers cannot send photos yet. Text and voice notes are handled; inbound images are not processed. This is something we are working on, not something we have.
- Outbound can send an image with a caption, but cannot send a document or PDF attachment. A link to a file is fine.
- Promotions are a separate thing, on a separate number: this assistant answers the enquiries that come to your main number. Campaigns are an add-on, and they never send to a pasted list of numbers.
- There is no visual, point-and-click conversation builder here and there will not be one. If you want to draw your conversation as boxes and arrows rather than write what it should say, several competitors in this market sell exactly that — we do not.
- Meta’s own 24-hour window is not ours to extend. Once it lapses, only an approved template re-opens the thread — no amount of Kooday configuration reaches past a rule Meta enforces.
What people ask us
What is the 24-hour window?
Once a customer messages you, Meta lets you reply freely for 24 hours. After that you can only send a pre-approved template. It is why a Friday-evening message answered on Monday is a different kind of message, not just a late one.
Do I need a separate number?
No — your existing WhatsApp Business number can be connected, and its history comes with it.
Can I jump into a conversation?
Yes. Flip the thread to manual from the inbox and type as your business. If the assistant was mid-reply, that reply is dropped rather than sent alongside yours.
How is this different from Wati or AiSensy?
Wati and AiSensy sell a platform you configure — flows, triggers, a chatbot builder you assemble yourself. Kooday sells one assistant you write instructions for in plain language, and it is the same assistant answering your phone and your website, not a separate WhatsApp bot. If a visual flow builder is specifically what you want, they sell it and we do not.
Can it handle a customer who switches between English and their own language mid-message?
Yes — it follows the language the customer used, including mixed speech, rather than asking them to pick one. That is true across all eleven languages it supports, on WhatsApp exactly as on a call.
Does WhatsApp cost extra on top of my plan?
It is included in the plan fee from Starter upward — see the table above. What costs extra is the separate marketing add-on for outbound campaigns, which is a different product with its own page and its own fixed frequency caps.
What it works alongside
- Website chat An AI chatbot for your website that streams replies from the same assistant answering your phone and WhatsApp, and opens the conversation itself.
- Instagram & Messenger Instagram automation for DM and Facebook Messenger enquiries, answered by the same assistant that runs your WhatsApp, phone and website chat, provisioned in one step.
- Shared inbox Every conversation in one list, with a clear marker of whether you or the assistant is replying, and an atomic hand-over that cannot double-send.
