A shared inbox is a single view where every conversation a business is having — across WhatsApp, calls, chat and social — lands in one place that any team member, or an AI assistant, can see and reply from.

Without one, channels stay siloed by whoever’s phone or account they came in on: a WhatsApp thread only the owner can see, an Instagram DM only whoever checks that app, a missed call nobody logged anywhere. A shared inbox is what lets a second person step into a conversation without having to ask “what did they already say”, and it’s what lets an AI assistant and a human hand a single conversation back and forth without losing context.

The feature is only as useful as what surrounds it — search, assignment, and a record of what an assistant already answered versus what’s waiting on a person.

See it as a product feature on the shared inbox page.
