Updated 9 September 2026

A WhatsApp catalogue is a list of a business’s products or services, with photos and prices, that customers can browse and order from inside a WhatsApp chat without leaving the conversation.

It closes a gap that used to force a customer off-platform — sending a link to a separate website or PDF price list to place an order. With a catalogue, browsing and asking a question about an item both happen in the same thread, and an assistant can quote from the same catalogue rather than relying on whatever price it was last told by a person.

Ordering through a catalogue is not the same thing as taking payment — an order collected in chat still needs a checkout step, which some setups handle inside WhatsApp and others hand off to a payment link.
